For connoisseurs and style freaks of Indian Ethnic Fashion like Utsav Fashion, there’s a spectrum of shows lined up on a specially planned day, ‘Indian Textile Day’ – a day that celebrates the rich heritage of Indian textiles. As we talk textiles, we can’t miss out Gaurang Shah, known for his astounding equation with ethnic textiles and art forms of India and will be spinning modern tales in traditional weaves of Benaras.

What’s more? The five-day fashion festival seamlessly maps India on the global fashion industry by inviting London-based accessory designer MAWI. Celebrating her Indian connection, the highly creative designer will be seen sharing the runway with Indian couturier Gaurav Gupta and presenting a collection titled as ‘Indian Odyssey.’

As the carpets roll out for the fashionistas, models, and creative minds of the fashion fraternity; the much-awaited gala event kick started yesterday with an off-site show by Bollywood’s sweetheart Manish Malhotra. Showcasing a beautiful line ‘Summer Affair’ had the Dabangg girl Sonakshi Sinha walking the ramp. The collection opened with an array of attires in ebony-ivory combination and seamlessly the palette shifted to soft pastels of blush pinks and peaches to the final line dipped in gorgeous hues of ivory, latte brown and golden. Long floor kissing Dresses, Kurtas, and Palazzos woven in sheer fabrics with fine white embroidery presented a fairy tale affair.
